Frequently Asked
Does AIT do residential work as well as commercial?
Yes. AIT has been wiring up Jersey Shore homes since the 1950s. Commercial is the bigger side of the business, but our home theater, automation, and whole-home AV work is held to the same engineering standard as our corporate installs.
Where do you do residential installs?
Throughout Monmouth County (Colts Neck, Rumson, Red Bank, Middletown, Wall, Spring Lake, Sea Girt, Belmar, Asbury Park), Ocean County (Brick, Toms River, Mantoloking, Bay Head, Long Beach Island), and Hunterdon County. Trucks dispatch from our Brick, NJ headquarters.
What manufacturers do you specify for residential?
Marantz for receivers and amplification, Speco for residential surveillance, UniFi for whole-home Wi-Fi and switching, PDK for gate and pedestrian-door access, Hanwha for outdoor cameras, and Planar for media-room displays. We're an authorized dealer for all six.
Can AIT take over a system another integrator installed?
Yes. We do takeover and remediation work regularly — ripping out problem gear, cleaning up cabling, and rebuilding the control logic so the system actually does what it was supposed to.
